Great render... brings back memories of when I went to Korea on a merchant marine ship. It was a single stacker, so it took us twenty-one days to get to Korea. Your waves look just like some that I saw on the way over. Great job with the swales, the foam, and the models. =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>
A question for tda42. When a ship makes a 360 degree turn during a drill, why does the center of the turn become as smooth and flat as a mirror and stay that way for a good period of time..? I experienced that going and coming from Korea. Couldn't figure out why it stayed so smooth. _______________ pappino |

Ok TdaC!You got the sun tan oil? As for the question about the ship.I think this is what you mean.In a 360 degree turn the center of the ship is absolute 0 drag.Which when you have a negative and positive the drag is canceled putting it into suspension.I have seen this effect and I believe that is the answer you are looking for Phil. It is like the Tomcat when it is on the catipult. The nose gear lanch bar is put into the shuttle, while the nose gear has what is called a hold back torque bar that is behind the nose gear putting it into suspention and no energy forces are applied to the nose gear a that time.

Great answer, tda42. Finally clears up the phenomena that's lurked in the back of my mind ever since I first saw it. On the way across the Pacific the Throop ships used to go through a man overboard drill at certain intervals. That big circular mirror effect, as smooth as glass in an otherwise rough sea was a mystery to us land lovers. =D>
