Pic Description: I had much more ambitious plans for Posette in this outfit, but couldn''t find the props for the scene I envisioned. This image is ''Plan B'' I guess, but hopefully it''s fun and evokes a sense of nostalgia. It''s supposed to look like a magazine advertisement from the mid-1970s. The look of the \"Render Time Right On\" text would be unusual for that time, but hopefully the rest of the details are pretty accurate. There was a strange style of lighting popular at that time that resulted in highly saturated colors at very low brightness levels; I tried to recreate it but in the end couldn''t quite understand what was needed.

Rendered in Poser 4 with postwork in Paint Shop Pro 8 (fixed stray pixels, added text, blurred image, enhanced contrast and color saturation).

As I am striving to improve my skill levels, constructive criticism is welcomed about any aspect of this image.

As Usual, you manage to -Zero in
on the puzzleing periods of perplexity—

In many ways— 1973 was a pinicle
-of my generation....

But I really -didn't like ''' the fashion...
Suddenly all the Hot girls were wearing PANTS
when 3 years earlier— they were
wearing Mini-skirts and made the world beautiful !

I really didn't see — too much of this fashion

because I was 'out of the Country
building bridges in the Jungle
trying to avoid some very Angry
small fellows wearing black pajamas.
What I remember -is the RADIO blasting
"A Horse with No Name" and Carlie Simon—
singing songs 'which seemed very insane....
like the Cars, which would barely run
'chocking with their own exhaust -fed
to go back around -through the engine
again and again, but some bureacrats....

it was the Beginning of the insanity
we still live in.

Good Render— BTW!
brings back memories

All revenues from the sale of Render Time beverages are donated to the Avotard Foundation, a non-profit group which sponsors volunteers to go into people's homes and paint all their kitchen appliances either Avocado Green or Mustard Yellow.

For more fashion time-warps, a website that has some scans from the 1973 Sears/Roebuck fall clothing catalog is at www.lileks.com/institute/sears1973/index.html

I very much enjoy 70s nostalgia, but if I never hear that song 'Horse with No Name' again it will be too soon.

I know what you mean. When I first wrote that song I thought
a song about a guy who forgot his horses name will never be a hit.
But after two days I let the horse free cause the desert had turned to sea. You see there was plants and birds and rocks and things................. Well you get the idea.

La laaaaa la la la l la la la la la...............laaaaa la.

Great idea, and nice look with the outfit.

Back then the film was very colourful, with some fine grain, and often soft focus for girls with a rose tinted lens (blurred lens or a real 'lamer' on the print press). So drop the bightness, up the contrast to saturate, and blur for the soft look.

I've found that to do well with any figure you really need to have a passion for that figure,

...and I hope you develop that passion for yours.
