Pic Description: ...but what exactly is this talented journalist working on?

Since it''s likely no one else at PF will know what this image refers to, hopefully it can be enjoyed as simple pinup art. (+50 bonus points for anyone who actually knows what series of freeware games inspired this image).

My interpretation of a free-spirited but very obscure video game character in her office; one of the games she stars in memorably centers on a political scandal involving the mayor of her town circulating some photos of her with no clothes on. I''m pretty sure this version is much more interesting than the tiny 256-color pixel art found in the game, but game purists (if there are any) may object to the fact that she removed her sneakers while posing for me.

As I am striving to improve my skill levels, constructive criticism is welcomed about any aspect of this image.

Rendered in Poser 4 with postwork in Paint Shop Pro 8 (fixed stray pixels, enhanced contrast). Something seems out of whack with the overall hue and lightness values, but I didn''t ''fix'' it because I couldn''t articulate exactly what I would change.

When making an image like this with lots of props, I am always amazed that despite having gigabytes of Poser files I never seem to have all the toys I want to play with. I had to go on a short downloading spree to fill out this image with office-related items, and was greatly helped by Zippo''s fine freebie site at lab108.x0.com/lab108/ . Thank you to all the prop makers who offer their items as freebies, as my art would not be even remotely as interesting without their hard work and generosity.

Credits (all free items):
Posette wears the Z-Stripe hair by Mojer, panties by Stylo3D, and a necklace by headhunter; my own textures on all items.
I made the table myself out of primitive shapes; I also made the calendar, the textures for the P4 running shoes, P4 polo shirt, and P4 shorts, plus the wall and the floor textures.
Props by Zippo: Tape dispenser, stapler, office document set (atop the right cabinet), photocopier machine, oil lighter, and notebook computer; my own textures on many of these.
Props by Gerald Day: Cardboard boxes, newspapers, book, and tissue box (atop the right cabinet, I enlarged one of the tissues into a towel thus making the whole thing unrecognizable)
Other props: Folding Chair by Zygote, Filing cabinets by J Galbraith (? not sure), Camera by shi-ma, Ashtray by FastTraxx, Magazine by FlyerX, Cigarette pack by Mayze, Cigarette with smoke by Nerd3D, and Plastic bottle by Varian; my own textures on many of these items. One more prop on the table that is too small to be seen clearly here (it''s in front of the ashtray) but is very nice is the iPhone by Amy. Unfortunately the maker of the very nice fax machine model is unknown, as is the maker of the coffee cup.

I am not sure. What this did inspire. Very good though. A lot
going on here.

But six left turns will get you around the block
and back in the driveway again.

I don't recognize the game that inspired this (which is not surprising, I play very few video/ computer games, and they are all driving, or flying games); but I do like this a lot.

I'm unsure what you think might be amiss with the coloring; but perhaps trying different color levels on an "adjustment layer" might make this more pleasing to you. {I mean, try adjusting only one color channel at a time, and see if that starts to make it "feel better" to you.)

Very good selection, and choice of props! I agree, Lab108 is a great resource for those of use that use a lot of freebies. {Next month, can she turn to the calander page that has the Javelin on it...? *grin*

@Whazizname:
-Nah, Javelin was last month on the calendar. I peeked at next month and it's the mighty Hornet (I actually knew a guy that had a Hornet that was painted orange with white racing stripes, of all the craziest things...).
-It's strange, in the image some of the colors are very saturated while others are undersaturated; it just seems out of balance, and wasn't my intention.
-For anyone using the Lab108 freebies, many of them call for a texture called silverref that is not included in the download--but it is in the notebook pc download, so if you get that prop you'll have the texture on hand for all the others where it's not included.

@maovin
Actually it's a whole series of freeware games, a comedy series made by many different amateur authors. The games are old-school adventure style and not for everyone, as the quality varies wildly, but they're free and I enjoyed many of them. The ones starring this character are listed at:
