Pic Description:	Something old...Something new....Something borrowed....Something blue..... She wanted a simple dress, made of pretty lace. After monthis of shopping and fending off the bridezillas she came across, poor Rachel was not having much luck. One day she was helping her mother clean a few things out of the attic when she came across an old trunk that had once belonged to her great-grandmother. Within the confines of said trunk, were some very old photo albums, several journals, and her great-grandmothers wedding dress, which had been well cared for and stored. A timeless classic in true 30''s style. the dress was hand crafted of white silk. handmade lace and the prettiest sky blue seed pearling that Rachel had ever seen! She fell in love with it the minute she saw it. After carelly checking its condition and going through great pains to get the vintage beauty properly cleaned, it looked as good as new! Rachel wore it like her grandmother did, Her auburn hair done in a simple french roll, with ribboms pearls and tiny yellow rosebuds woven in. She looked like a dream of days gone by as she walked into the family garden to pose in her dress for the photgraphers. This photo was her mothers favorite..... I was looking through some of my old pictures and came across the one called The Proposal, which gave me the idea for this peice. This is another play of realistic background, lights, shadows and, just a tiny bit of photoshoping to add the flowers to her hair and hands. I hope you enjoy it!

Sometimes things that are modest, simple, and elegant speak volumes about the wearer. Not too long ago, it used to be the norm to want a beautful and modest wedding dress. I agree, it has really gotten out there since then, but I have also seen a return to simplicity such as this in wedding attire as well.
