I'm worried this P4 plastic hair thing is turning into a fetish type thing, (as long as the folks around here don't catch on I may be able to do a few more).

Hope you do Ahjah.
I have been collecting all the ones I could find (even paid for some - shoot me!). When I first got P6, and saw them, I thought they were only good for toon work (at best). As I saw more and more older work in the PF gallery, they grew on me then I started using them, and realised there was a look in them that I really liked (nice shiny), I was hooked. My four morphs and Elsie, each have one, as part of their look. Plus our very own JanReinar, likes using them too. They are so low poly, and I like the shiny look (oh no... here comes the leather, latex, and rubber outfits). _______________ I've found that to do well with any figure you really need to have a passion for that figure, ...and I hope you develop that passion for yours. |

I have found the older hair useful myself in older renders. I use a slight transparency and of all things an animal fur texture to get more detail. It does well in far away renders and scenes. (Examples of this are my clue and rosalinda peices.) Great work on all your ladies Chromium.

Thanks for the kind words guys.
Maelstromme, your amazing, I was wondering how the older hair would fair with a fur texture, thanks for answering that for me. _______________ I've found that to do well with any figure you really need to have a passion for that figure, ...and I hope you develop that passion for yours. |
