Pic Description:	Mystery Posette has the most unusual acquaintances. We found some old ruins and decided to explore the area. Mystery Posette grew rather excited when she saw two particular stones protruding from the ground next to each other, though they just looked like more old ruins to me. Despite the strengths of her character in many respects (intelligence, bravery, fair-mindedness, industriousness, and so forth), in the area of what might be termed social skills she sometimes seems slightly daft, or perhaps she''s just frequently lost in her own thoughts and doesn''t realize she''s an such an eccentric personality. In any case, I wasn''t too surprised when she took off her clothes without a hint of mischief and started ambling around the vicinity. I asked if she wanted to practice some of the nice poses we recently worked out, but she said she instead meant to perform a ritual at the spot in accordance with the ancestral customs of her people. She went between the rocks and performed a strange dance while singing a weird song in an ancient language. A moment later, a rather disturbing apparition appeared hovering in the air, but Mystery Posette didn''t seem surprised or even nervous. The apparition seemed intent on showing her an unusual staff it was carrying, with rotating spheres on the end. Mystery Posette studied the spheres, and made several comments about cyclopean geometry and interplanar physics. I didn''t understand all her scientific lingo, but apparently the apparition was very pleased with her perceptiveness and insightful talk. After a few moments the ghost seemed to wave goodbye, then vanished along with its sphere-staff. As Mystery Posette got dressed I asked if she knew the... whatever the thing was. She replied that she couldn''t be certain, but that he reminded her of a fellow she met years ago in the fifth dimension while she was searching for the legendary Elixir Vitae. I remarked that he seemed to want to give her his staff of revolving spheres. She replied that one should never accept items from strange spirits, but that the unusual geometry of the spheres had given her some helpful ideas for one the experiments she''s been working on in her laboratory. Mainly I was just playing around here with this nice ''Stonehenge'' prop I downloaded recently while trying to find another outfit for Mystery Posette to wear (I did at least find some Steampunk eye goggles, which is a relief). I also tried to compose an image to give a view of Mystery Posette from behind, since in all the other images I''ve posted of her she''s facing the camera. I''m still not certain I like all the plants I put into the scene, which seemed too bare without extra props but now seems rather distracting with perhaps too many. Some might find the bright sunlight shining on Posette a clash with the overcast sky in the background, but such momentary breaks in cloud cover are common enough for the depiction to be realistic in my opinion. The crease along her spine (or more accurately, greatly increased density of the back musculature on either side of the spine) looks rather extreme in this lighting, but I''m undecided whether to do anything about it. My reference photos of real-life female bodybuilders show they often exhibit this same feature in a similar degree, so which way to tip the balance between aesthetics and realism seems unclear in this case. In general Mystery Posette is also quite short even for a Posette (shorter by nearly a full head-length than default P4NW), and the appearance of greater than average muscular density is always amplified by shortness of stature. I had already blurred the background photo before importing it into Poser, so postwork was mainly adding a bit of shimmer to the outline of the skeleton, as well as fixing Posette''s shadow. Though her feet are planted directly on the ground (and the entire area of the right foot in particular is in full contact with the ground), her ground shadow appeared displaced (it seemed to ''start'' several feet away to her left). The underlying problem is with the shadow resolution setting of Poser 4 lights. Sometimes an element with a small profile like arms or legs casts shadows too small to be properly resolved in the render, particularly as the distance from camera to objects grows larger (I always move my cameras rather than zoom/scale them to take better advantage of other lighting details). Note the red plant for example also doesn''t have a visible shadow, as its stalk also presents too small a profile for Poser 4 to resolve. In any case, my shadow resolution on the key light in this scene was at the maximum allowed value, so the only choice was to fix it afterwards (a few swipes of the clone brush was sufficient) for Posette while leaving the plants as examples. For those interested in details, camera focal length was 100mm here. 60-100mm is typical in my renders, and I genuinely don''t ever find any occassion at all to use the default P4 focal lengths (20-35mm). I'm surprised that by showing her figure that more did not appear! I really hope you find a fitting name for your girl soon; Lilly Autumn - or - Jet Punkett The plants add some contrasting colour, that is what you were referring to by distracting, not by there numbers, camouflage does wonders to hide large numbers. I have my main camera set to 42mm F2.8, but I am still yet to explore the fun of camera settings in Poser. As for the morph, with all your work it's for you and if you are happy, then that's enough. I toyed with body shapes for a while, and compared to the original as my reference always. I was happy with what I got. She looks awesome anyway. _______________ I've found that to do well with any figure you really need to have a passion for that figure, ...and I hope you develop that passion for yours.

Good composition here As I mentioned before I never worked with P4, but I remember having issues with cameras an shadows in P3, too. One of the first thing I did way back was re-saving my default scene with changed /longer camera focus and a 1024 shadow res on the main light. In later versions they fixed the cameras at least. P7 works with 55mm on the main cam and 95mm on the face cam. That's something to work with... _______________
