Fourteen years is a fairly long life for a cat.
Any pet is missed after it passes away.
My uncle has a dog that is 18 years old. It cannot bark anymore and does not see well.

I can relate.I would miss the little Chi Dog T'da around my place too.She is like a daughter to me.
