This is the rather nice ''corridor'' ported to MMD by Shyuugah from original by ''NOB''.

After re-naming all the materials in free PMX Editor, I exported to OBJ+MTL. The ~22MB OBJ imported to Poser, auto-loaded its basic textures. Some iteration found a scale of 2.5 % looked ''proportionate''. As Poser does not reliably auto-load Alpha channels for Transparency, I used free Irfan View to extract, hand-loaded them. Like-wise the lights'' ''glow'', to Cycles'' ''Emission''.
Weirdly, some of the textures showed inverted. eg The upstairs'' windows were ''Upside Down''. Seems I''d set them to render ''Double Sided'' in PMX Editor, which had wrapped their mapping. I could use Irfan View to flip the files vertically, but there were ~30 files to resolve, 18 Diffuse + 12 Alpha. Poser''s ''Color_Texture'' nodes have a ''mirror V'' tick-box, also a V_Scale field, where changing default 1.000 to -1.000 flips. I used the V_Scale route as easier to see.
Getting the scene lighting ''plausible'' for nice shadows took a while. A few test-renders showed I was on the right track, so I set Superfly, progressive, 96 pixel samples, 64 vols+buckets, sent job to my network-render ''Box''. It ran in ~2½ hours but was still a tad fuzzy. So, I set 256 pixel-samples, sent job again. As ''Box'' still held the texture files from the prior run, it started sooner. Still took ~15 hours... |
