Pic Description: The girl expected to have a quiet evening reading but suddenly senses something wrong and prepares to turn around...
Well, since there's now a whole Halloween gallery here's another camera angle from my What's that Smell scene that gives a little better overall perspective at the expense of being less dramatic than the other version I posted.
Yes, I know I should have picked a better title for the renders but I couldn't think of anything else at the time.
Prop credits for this picture are numerous, but the most visible ones are (all free items):
Monster-Wolfgang by Lemuretek, Couch by Amazing 3d Graphics, Clog Shoes by Byteme0k, Paperback book by English Bob, and Teddy Bear by Akane. Posette wears Kozaburo's Kyoko Hair Mk 2.
Constructive criticism welcomed. I know there's a problem in this image with Posette's arms. I was experimenting with a "motion blur" type effect in post-render editing to make it look like she suddenly sat up straight, but only succeeded in making her arms look blurry--oops.

Hey— I like the Title ... as long as I
am not the stinker -being refered to !

Great IDEA— I might 'add shadows.. and maybe 'a better
Teddy Bear ... but it's all excellant. I love her expression
and the couch —a great choice !

How will she deal -with the furry intruder ?
What are his intentions?

Will this be a series ? (I hope)

I like this! I agree that you've traded drama for perspective; but when the viewer sees both, the story begans to unfold.

(The blurring of her arms doesn't bother me.)

{I don't think that she needs to worry; just splash a little Coka Cola on the monster... we all know how many unhealthy things are in it. }

Thanks for the comments everyone.

I'm embarrased to say, leahman, that I didn't notice the absence of shadows until you mentioned it. I had some technical bugs with Poser while making this scene, and I forgot to redo the shadow settings. The main source of light in the scene is coming from a lamp on the far right (the little pink triangle is part of the lampshade), meaning that Posette (and her beverages) should indeed be casting a shadow over the couch

I brought up the directory of all the smiley icons and I think Posy is saying she's concerned about the welfare of her fellow member from the Posette sisterhood, and is telling the poor girl to find a hiding spot. That's good advice Posy, but unfortunately I think it's too late for the other girl unless she just happens to keep a .45 pistol with silver bullets under the couch cushion...on second thought though Whazizname has a good point about the cola, that stuff is pretty much industrial strength acid.

hehehe! she could chuck the soda can and hit him in the forehead too makes one heck of a projectile when unopened and cold. I could see her standing over the beast which is unconcious with a coke can stuck in his forhead as she all teary eyed tells the sherriff about what happened hehe! talk about a plot twist!! anyway, nice pic for halloween you did a good job on it!

I like this one more than the other, more details here ! About the light, you can even add the effect with postwork, i don't know what Poser version you have, but with one of the last you can have some nice and realistic effects with single point lights
