How does poor Posette manage to get herself into these situations?
The tv show X-Files had an episode called Unruhe where a lunatic killer guy sent out psychic waves that made a symbolic impression of his disturbed thoughts on the film of any nearby camera, resulting in some interesting images. Here is my interpretation of how this phenomenon might manifest itself. I guess the symbolism with the eyes, the red guy, and the skulls is sort of crude, but this is my first try at composing this kind of abstract image.
As I am striving to improve my skill levels, constructive criticism of any aspect of this image is welcomed.
Rendered in Poser 4 with moderate postwork in Paint Shop Pro 6 (mainly involving distorting the background).
I had trouble making a truly terrified expression for Posette, so I tried to make her look confused and worried instead, hopefully like she knows something bad is happening but isn''t really sure what it might be. I also wanted the background figures to be more nebulous, but the render was just too crisp and I couldn''t seem to distort them enough in postwork without making them disappear since they''re so dark. In general it was hard to determine how dark the background should be in order be somewhat spooky yet still visible; hopefully I achieved some balance in that regard. In retrospect maybe I should have added the background figures during postwork rather than rendering them as part of the Poser scene.
