The cutting board adapted as shield was finally latched in place around waste-pipe, frame-bolted to wall. Can of expanding foam went in via waiting holes. Next day, I cut away the ''Crawling Crud'' that had escaped, began to re-assemble the back-frame and panel.
The thick back-frame parts had those waiting threaded inserts, just bolted together.
Assembling jigsaw of back-board needed cavity fittings, the metal type that splay wide when their back-nut''s pulled. I got and used the recommended ''gun'' to ensure they set correctly. With those as ''hard points'' for some little mending strips, the panel was re-born.
I used car-jack (cantilever) to lift heavy shelf to position while I re-fitted its mounting blocks. Took the opportunity to replace shin-biting 110º door hinges by 170º versions. Needed mending plates and lateral thinking, but got there in the end. Began to organise cupboard... |
