An XPS file with Main (B+W) and Alt (P+W) textures, it baffled me when I tried to port to Poser last year. This time, I used a different route.
Copy into XNA/Lara data folder. Load figure, export via ''Modify'' as .mesh.ascii.
Free Noesis can read this format, export as a rigged FBX that *usually* ''plays nice'' with Poser.
After some iteration, I found an import scale of 12500% (12k5%, 125x default) suited the model. It arrived as ten (10) sub-rigs, auto-loaded the default B+W texture set. The only oddity seemed to be a patch of hair at nape that needed some transparency to look good. Figure may be posed with care using the ''BODYMI...0'' rig, and fabric follows.
Hand-loading the P+W alt textures worked well.
Then the fun began. I duplicated figure, moved the BODYMI...0 and ...1 apart using xTrans, applied original texture to one figure. Second figure went black.
I decided this was *probably* due to Poser disliking the many FBX load/delete cycles I''d needed to settle on that 12k5 % scaling. So, I closed Poser, tried again. Same happened. The third time, I did not duplicate figure but imported afresh. Much the same happened.
Now, I suspected was due to cross-talk. I re-saved the alt-textures TGA files as JPG and, provided I applied / re-applied textures to both ''Diffuse'' and ''Highlight'', fumbled my way to ''passable''.
