Yay ! A very tasteful 'Daguerrannytype' !!
Long ago and far away, my father used to develop, enlarge & print his own B&W films. Young me got to work the room's 'red light', count cadence with 'Mississippis'. He got a pre-loved plate camera from some-where, did some of those, too. Totally different 'dynamic range' and such to 35 mm, making even familiar scenes eerily retro. IIRC, we did those as 'contact prints'. He considered tackling 'colour' films, but decided it simply wasn't worth the hassle...
I can honestly say I've lived through the entire reign of 'popular' 35mm colour film. I was very, very sad when the last UK 'processor' gave up on my beloved 'letterbox' camera's format, as that was the only way I could successfully frame 'analog' shots...
Now, I just dial back the zoom on Kath's dSLR and let fly...
