This post is another of the fantastic models created by a guy named, Bassett. My name is present only to signify that I manipulated the model, changed lighting, and posted the image. There is no attempt on my part to take credit for the model. Speaking of model, this model has a very high poly count, so I had to render it with the Poser 4 render. Poser 5's FireFly distorted the model during the rendering process. Live and learn.
I haven't seen any other works by Bassett, but it is obvious that he is a master at model creation. Just figured I'd do something with this model to show of Bassett's work.
An excellent example of a model making master here. =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>
Now what settings did you use when rendering with FireFly
as far any distortion is concerned
Hi Nex... the following are the settings I used for both Production and Draft in FireFly options.
Raytrace 0, minimum displacement bounds 1.00, smooth polygons checked, remove backfacing polygons checked, use texture filtering checked, minimum shading rate 2.00, max texture resolution 1024. Using these settings for both production and draft resulted in a long rendering time and distortion on verticals. My machine is a P4, with 512 meg of RAM. The distortion in both modes created a bowing out in approximately center of all verticals.
Uncheck texture filtering, uncheck backfacing polygons..
leave defaults for other stuff.
this will speed rendering and save memory.
give it try.
Just when I thought they worked the bugs out.
