Hi Posfan, I just checked the pages with internet explorer and all looks fine, btw if an user is not logged in the attachments don't show, so what I did is to clear the cache of the site and clear also the session table (so everybody has to login again and leahman will email me because he doesn't remember his password <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> ). In the process I also noticed a couple of icons missing from the pages <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/dontknow.gif" alt="" /> and I fixed it. <br /> <br /> I think that the problem is that you log out in internet explorer, if the pictures are not showing at all, you're logged out, if there is a big X instead of the picture, it's another kind of problem, you should tell me what you see (no pics or a big X). <br /> <br /> If you see no pics and no red X you should delete the cookies related to the site, you find them in the options page of the browser, scroll the list of the cookies till you see "posetteoforever.com" and delete them, close the browser, open it again and log in, all should be fine <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/eusa_dance.gif" alt="" /> . <br /> <br /> There is a little pause when a page is loaded because the site connects to a server that checks the IP, if the IP belongs to a spammer it is redirected to a special page... <br /> <br /> Connecting to the site with different browsers but from the same IP address can also give login-logout problems because it can be interpreted like an attack by our drones <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/eusa_shifty.gif" alt="" /> <br /> <br /> <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/connie_yoyo.gif" alt="" />

I think you can lower the security in Firefox to make it less aggressive. I really don't <br /> know why anyone would want two browsers. I used to have IE but it is such a target these <br /> days I like Firefox much better and they have even had a third edition just released. <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/thumb.gif" alt="" />

I use 2 or more myself: to test the site and I permit the cookies installation only by known sites with firefox, while in internet explorer I take all and periodically I empty all the data, cookies, cache, history etc.

Um, my old CAD_PC_1 is Win'98(2). <br /> <br /> But, new versions of those CAD programs do not work on '98, few of my CAD programs work on XP, less of them work on Vista. To add insult to injury, although my XP CAD_PC_2 has ~ 3 Gb RAM, program bloat means proportionately less workspace per '32bit' program compared to the old 1Gb '98 system. To recover headroom, I must trade up to expensive '64' bit versions. <br /> <br /> Now the killer: Rather than upgrade my *favourite* CAD program to '64bit', the makers dumped the old core-code and licensed a cut-down version of another package. That has a completely different look+feel, cannot use my custom models, cannot (yet) read earlier versions' files... <br /> D'uh... <br /> <br /> And, sorry, Tormie, I cannot get my router working. @ Kenny, modern I.E. is honestly secure too, and I'm not fond of Bill Gates. You can get viruses on PC, today, using a browser, only clicking something that you should not click, a lot of people ( sometimes I fix these things too) think that the PC is clean when it's populated by a large community of them, mostly spywares. I share my main email addresses only with my friends and I receive every day tons of spam even if I sent my email only to know persons, this spam is in every language (a lot of them are about how to enlarge my penis <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/redembarrassed.gif" alt="" /> or how to meet foreign girls <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/connie_ashamed.gif" alt="" /> ). It's because some of my friends has an email spyware and send their address book to spammers <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> ... Now I only use the routers hardware firewall. I can beat it - 3 1/2 years without any problems and that with IE. <br /> <br /> One can avoid virus simply by not clicking on everything if one uses his brain. Unfortunatly most users don't use their brain.

Well, in the last period we have been attacked a couple of times by hackers, one time successfully. <br /> And we were also spotted by comment spammers, comment spammers tries to every site, with automatic programs in order to post the links to the sites that pay them (things like porn, viagra, how to enlarge my penis <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/redembarrassed.gif" alt="" /> etc... ). In big sites, like rosity for example, they pay a bunch of people for doing nothing else but finding the messages and delete them. <br /> <br /> I installed some software that does it automatically, and the staff can see that no one spam message has appeared here in months, even if I made the registration process very simple in comparison of what it was in the past. Basically, a comment spammer have to register to the site manually(here) with their real IP address to post something, and they are still blocked if they write something wrong (new users are under the eyes of another drone, if they write something like "sex" or "viagra" for example, they are blocked since my intervention). <br /> We've also a code that blocks the referrer links from renderosity, because the staff there took side with the pornguy dphoadley when he continuously spread dirt on Posetteforever: I wrote some replies and I was banned from Karen James (an admin that is in the friends' list of the pornguy). For that reason links coming from renderosity goes to a special page <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> . <br /> <br /> These codes makes the site a little slower, just a little, because when you connect , they check your internet connection to the site, and we're on a cheap hosting company (godaddy) on a computer that is shared with other sites, so sometimes this computer get busy with other application that are resources hungry and we become "slow" <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> ... I could go to a faster hosting company but it would cost me a lot of money and I prefer to keep Posetteforever without advertising (but maybe sooner or later I'll win Lotto or a lottery <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/wink.gif" alt="" /> ). Well not really. I like the little PC better for net. We pay way to much for expensive PC to <br /> be put out on the net for garbage to be put on them. Just think of all the Poser software and things you have <br /> on a PC with 3 hard drives and then a virus hits it knocking it out and days end to bring back up. My PC <br /> on the net how ever has an 8 gig hard drive. Then I have an eithernet with a cable going to the bigger PCs <br /> to just transfer what I had from the net. Alot easier to format a hard drive of 8 gigs than 3x350 gig hard drives. <br /> Talking about a nightmare. <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/redembarrassed.gif" alt="" />

The problem is that with older version of the O.S. or the browser you couldn't even "see" some features of the sites you're visiting. If you use the "little" PC only to surf the net a good solution is to install Linux on it <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> ... <br /> <br /> I had to format the main HD after some years because the report from "Partition Magic" was "Partition Damaged". Even if I kept the PC clean from viruses, it may be something to to a virus, I was not able to fix it... It was not even in the MBR, so I transferred the data on a spare HD and made a clean install...
