To my friends and fellow members here at Posette Forever,

This is a hybrid figure with posette's head and Victoria's body with all of Victoria 2 body Morphs and FBM's intact. I used the VP4Skin figure from April's Vanity so the figure can take P4 Female textures. The figure is in the beta stage right now and I am in the process of adding morphs to the face. I would like to use some of the Morph Targets from Posette Forever, in particular some of Ahjah's but only with permission of course. I have added almost 40+ character face morphs of my own so far.

When the figure is ready I would like to offer it up if anyone is interested. I could also use some help in giving this figure a name that reflects this posette/victoria hybrid. Have a look at the image and let me know what you think. Any suggestions and your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Marv
Might be interesting
Of course, you can use my morphs as long as the result will be for download exclusively at PF. If you want to offer it somewhere else it depends...
But be careful with the DAZ stuff. The fact that V2 is avaliable for free now doesn't make it for free distribution automatically. I'm afraid you will not be allowed to use the original DAZ morphs for redistribution. Better check this twice. DAZ can get really beasty when it comes to copyright stuff, and PF and me cannot afford to be part of a violation.

PS: There is a Posette/V2 hybrid with Posette mapping avaliable already, made by stahlratte. He removed all the DAZ morphs before distribution

You are right of course Ahjah and thank you for your permission on the morphs. I fully plan on doing my homework as to distribution of the figure and to be respectful to daz3D as well as PosetteForever. I will keep everyone updated on my progress.

Thank you Marv

You can use the objaction mover or something like that to avoid copyright problems. There is no more links to the good old original version and the author transformed it in a commercial product (I hope for him to have made a lot of bucks ), but there should be something that does the same for free, there should also be present a thread about it on PF

Post subject: Re: Posette/Victoria
Sincerely, the worst part is the remapping, some times ago (a copule of years ? Maybe...) I bought the UVMapper pro and began remapping Posette for using V4 maps, it was so boring that I stopped after a while...

In any case there is the whole set of standard females of P5 P6 P7 and P8 to play Doc Frankenstein with , but a well done process includes the remapping, that is very boring

I'm sure that remapping is boring but I'm the kinda person that enjoys learning and enjoys the challenge. I'll have to give it some thought and see what I can come up with. Any suggestions just send them my way. Thanks Tormie and Ahjah for your input.

Hey everyone, I'm back :3

Marv, not sure if you're into a challenge/potentially naughty bits, but have you checked out Heroineism's 'Motoko' figure? This base figure is used on the Ultrawoman figures produced by the author of the site. He's moved on to custom creating newer original figures, all based on the Ultrawoman fandom... tho they come ready for the "Superheroine in distress" fetish

The older figures I'm talking about are on http://kpffpk.blog83.fc2.com/
if you're just mainly wanting to put posette's head on the figure, I'd suggest starting with one of the Ultrawoman figures. They use the 'Motoko' figure base for the body and come with morphs (unlike Motoko) and the 'Ultrawoman' mask is just an object that can be removed.

Venus Mother's helmet actually has some nice facial control (I'm making a alien out of her, makes a very sexy 'Roswell' Alien hybrid type...thing.. ) and the body has all the basic morphs plus a few extras to work with. A project I'm working on is making a series of morphs to work with what the author already gives.

And if you're interested in seeing the autors more recent stuff (which is very good) here's http://heroineism.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html

and yus, everything's free!

Post subject: Re: Posette/Victoria
Np, just a heads up on some things I've noticed tho.

Even the author makes mention that she needs joint parameter work and the hands don't respond well to premade poses. The model is also segmented similar to Latexa and the earlier versions of Eve. That and this is a custom figure. Any new morphs are those we make.

I do feel the figure holds some good potential tho. Even tho the author states no commercial use, I'm kinda hoping I may be able to use her for that, should the need arise and if I can make a significant enough contribution to her development. The 'facemask' of the 'VenusMother' figure actually has pretty good expression and the crown and back portions can be removed, making it not 'Ultrawoman' so there'd be no copyright infringement.

Gonna be tough to develope tho... only clothing available is the Ghost in the Shell outfit he made for the Motoko Base, which doesn't fit the Ultrawoman base due to modified proportions. The segmentation also makes it difficult to do morphs. But I'm confident in my ability to learn :P

Post subject: Re: Posette/Victoria
I tried doing some hybrid work with this one yesterday and have to admit that it will be a bit of a challenge. The neck mesh is quite different from Posette's and the Millenium figures. Difficult but not impossible. I might even take a stab at some morph targets later on and see what I can do development wise for this figure as well.

Marv, some other Ideas I was thinking of:

Stephanie
The Girl
Aiko

All of these are relatively popular characters now free from DAZ, could maybe look to Hybrid one of them if Motoko/Ultrawoman is a bit more hassle than you'd like. I don't know if Athena is compatible with Victoria's morphs, but I wouldn't mind a Victoria/Posette hybrid like you were originally doing simply to use She-Freak with posette's head.

Post subject: Re: Posette/Victoria
I've done figures with Stephanie and Stephanie Petite with Posette's head that are still in the rough stage. I was working on one with Posette's head and Aiko 3's body that I am having some minor problems with but I should be able to get past them time permitting. Posette head with the Girl body sounds interesting so I may have to try that latter. I even did one with posette's head and Dork's body just for fun. Came out decent too.

Lemurtek's models are kind of outdated, especially for the mapping...

Lol, Posette's head on the Dork.

Eh, why not? Victoria comes with body morphs to give her Mike's body :P Girl even comes with facial morphs to give her guy faces

Post subject: Re: Posette/Victoria
Took some work to find this thread again, but I got back here! On the topic of hybrids, I mentioned modding the ultrawoman figure to make a sexy monster/alien/babe. Recently I re-visited the idea and got VERY good results using just the ultrawoman head prop on V4's body with morphs ++ and the creature morphs. She's still incomplete, but I got very good results so far, I believe

One of the ideas bouncing around in my mind also concerns her. My biggest problem is deciding to go with an idea and not allow myself to get derailed by another idea!!

One thing I really love on this figure as well is the results I got on mouth morphs with combining magnets and the morphs she already had. That and V4 was nice enough to lend her some dentures and a tongue!
Oh! Thought of something you could maybe look into for a posette hybrid, Marv. I haven't seen a good Naga/lamia type figure for Posette and while there's some available for the Victoria's, wouldn't hurt for a posette too? If you're unsure what I'm talking about, body of a woman from the waist up and body of a snake from waist down.

I found this figure that I downloaded years ago. Her name is Sakiraz and came from a site called "Succubus Nation". She is indeed our beloved Posette. Although not an extremely posable figure as the serpent tail is only a static model but still nicely done. Still, it would make for an interesting project to do an updated and more articulate version of her.
Post subject: Re: Posette/Victoria
I have that figure as well and she started giving me ideas that I still use today for multi-armed figures. You'll want to clean her up tho as she's 3 full figures that are all un modified copies of the main body, meaning there's tons of geometries that are set to invisible and chock full of morphs, some that aren't even being used.

But yes, I was upset when I found the tail didn't do anything! I DO have a naga lower half figure that is for Aiko 3 that was free as well, she's on this page http://www.infinitedreamers.co.uk/2009/10/09/aiko-3-part-one/

For adding additional arms, I streamlined the process does take a good amount of work, but I believe it helps Poser on it's workload. Rather than make a copy of the figure, make a plain, base figure and load morphs that affect the look of the arm, hands and collars ONLY. Once you have the morphs done, make a plain low prim primitive object like a box or even a single plain prim for each body part that won't be shown and place those in the spaces the body parts occupy. I find it helps the next step to name each prim the name of the body part cause your next step is to replace each of those body parts with the prims you just made. Then after that, make each prim invible and you should have your arms left! It'll still move and pose as a normal figure would, but with less prims to calculate, I believe. Cause most graphics programs still do computations and calculations and such for meshes, even if it's not visible.
Marv [ Friday, 18 June 2010, 06:22 AM ]
Post subject: Re: Posette/Victoria
I think I can make the process even simpler than that. I have in my library of figures that I have collected over the years a Posette figure with six arms. I can't remember the artist and at one time the link for the figure was at Renderosity. Suffice it to say, the 4 extra limbs were intergrated into the figure as posable limbs. This way the biggest share of the figure work is already done and absolutely no need for two additional invisible figures to create the illusion of six arms. So it would just be a matter of taking the upper body of the six-armed posette and adding it to the lower body of the naga figure. I'll see if I can find my six-armed beauty.

Post subject: Re: Posette/Victoria
Oh! I think I had that figure at one point.. she may have been one of the ones I lost from my archive dump from awhile ago :/

BTW... My alien figure is near completion! I've spent the last 2 days on texture work. As you can see on the thighs, seam lines are the bane of my existence. Getting seams to match has been the hardest thing on this figure as you can see cause.. well, it's a busy skin.

I gave her a tail as well and reduced the head tendrils from 4 to 2. I'm toying with the idea of perhaps magnet moorphing the fingertips to be pointier... and I shall definitely revisit those thigh textures.

V3 / Unimesh mapping would be much easyier to texture... (BTW, I'm still waiting for someone to do an Unimesh mapping on stock Posette, can't do it myself...)
