Hi friends <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/TFR718 (6).gif" alt="" />
<br />
Have you seen this new free tool at <a class="post-url" href="http://www.vanishingpoint.biz/freestuff.asp?StartNo=421" target="_blank">http://www.vanishingpoint.biz/freestuff.asp?StartNo=421</a> ?
<br />
A geometry stripper to divide a pp2 into a pp2 and external obj.
<br />
There were tools like this around before, but not free, so I made it manually in a text editor til now <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/eusa_wall.gif" alt="" />
<br />
Having an external geometry has a lot of advantages. You save space saving cr2s with props parented. You can easyly remap the prop. You have a geometry for making morphs at hand etc...

Well spotted !!
<br />
<br />
I've just found it among Renderosity freebies, have not tried it yet...
<br />
<br />
It looks like a very useful utility, it may mean we can rescue a lot of 'clothing props' from old P3 characters and PZ3 scenes. IIRC, Anthony Appleyard wrote a similar, command-line version, but that needed a large run-time C++ package...
<br />
<br />
Um, I've realised that, as I have no intention of Animating my scenes, I may be able to use parented rather than conforming items. I'm building a 'wardrobe' of specialised clothing props, and I keep finding interesting objects that are very difficult to retrieve...
<br />
<br />
Hey ! One of my old archives from ~2004 has Mordikar's P4F and P4M armour !! As they stand, or as carriers for props, there are several nice components...
<br />
<br />
I've also noticed that LEET has some smart P4F clothes freebies at EvilInnocence site. I have not tried them yet, and they're flagged as P5, so P4 may baulk...

Thank you Andreas <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/TFR718 (6).gif" alt="" /> ,I think the same, it can open a world of new possibilities <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/thumb.gif" alt="" /> I never tried to extract the obj from the pp2 <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/notworthy.gif" alt="" />

It's still there, as is a bunch of classic freebies...

Added: Anthony Appleyard did a free utility that could 'mine' an RSR for its .OBJ. It's still available on his 'Buck Rogers' sites...
