Hi, Tormie, have you read the two relevant Charles Stross books, 'Atrocity Exhibition' and 'Jennifer Morgue' ?? <br /> <br /> Their premise is that all the Chthulu mythos is *real*, and Alan Turing (RIP) accidentally found a way to systemitise 'magic' using maths and procedural language. <br /> <br /> Snag is that many modest variations of mathematical constructs familiar to eg render engines may cast geometric shadows into 'other spaces' that attract unpleasant whatsits. Lately I was reading some book with collection of sci-fi novels appeared on Playboy in the past but I really need some qualified suggestions like this <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/wink.gif" alt="" /> because sometimes I buy books that are rubbish like on I bought something like "the society of immortals" (I don't know the real english title, it's a translation from the italian title) that i forced myself to use as toilet paper till the last page (except the covers...) . Actually I'm deep in the implications of the Occam's razor principle...
