We'd like to thank all the folks who entered the B&W challenge at PlanIt3D. It was a great turnout and a terrific show of talent and imagination. The judging was quite difficult but after much deliberation the PlanIt3D staff had decided:

The best photography entry: "Water" by H2odog
With the following in close contention
Jim Burton - "InfraRed 1"
8Gr - "Father and Son"
h2odog - "Through the Eyes of a Child"

The best CG entry: "Angel on the Mushroom" by DragonWizard
With the following in close contention
Damsels - "The Abbey"
Tda4z - "Born To Be Wild"
Creations - "Isildur's Heir"

And now......for something completely different. Our next contest (as in PRIZES AWARDED!).

"The Elements" - a Poser-based Competition.

No, we didn't say elephants.....we said elements - although elephants are permitted.
This is a contest with a difference. You get a prize before you've even started, a free set of blades made by Slinger ! The sword's hilt can be smart-propped to either Mike 3, Vicky 3, or Nigel (a.k.a. Freak). If you're using other characters then you'll have to tweak a little. Oh, and we've thrown in hand poses for the three named characters too.

The contest rules are simple, you must use at least one of the "Thunder Blades" set and you must include one of the elements...Earth (pretty much a given for most of us), Air, Fire, or Water. Think lightning or rain, or be much more inventive than that. You don't even have to use a character if you don't want to. Please indicate in the image description which element(s) you have themed your artwork on.

Prizes and judging arranged by Daz3D, the contest will end on Sunday, June 20th, 2004. Read all the details and get the link to Slinger's awesome free swords at: http://www.planit3d.com/source/viewtopic.php?t=1701

Thanks for the info.
We all knew about Tda42's(Kenny) placing in the competition thanks to ahjah, a few days ago, but an
official version doesn't hurt either

The new contest should be enough time for those who are entering the competition.

Whoa there JanReinar !!
You don't have to have any of the three characters the blades are smart-propped to. That's only to make posing a bit easier, you can use any character your heart desires.....we'd love to see some Posette's there holding their ground. As long as they are part of a scene with one of the elements listed you're in the running to win a prize so please do enter.

And yes the blades are fantastic, Slinger certainly has a way with Rhino that I can only envy.
