Post subject: Search Assistance Requested
Hi;
<br />
<br />
I'm looking for some old cars; specificly: a Lincoln Continental Mark III, Mark IV, or Mark V. My idea might also work if the car was a 1969- 1973 Cadillac Eldorado.
<br />
Free would be best; but considering what I'm seeking, for pay will do too.
<br />
<br />
Has anyone seen one?
<br />

Thanks Tormie!
<br />
<br />
{FYI: the model does not need to be "Poserized"; any obj, 3ds, dxf, lwo will be usable.}

Did you say cars?
<br />
<a class="post-url" href="http://dmi.chez-alice.fr/models1.html" target="_blank">http://dmi.chez-alice.fr/models1.html</a> Nice selection but no Lincolns or Cadillacs.
<br />
Checked the rest of my resorces and all I could find was a Mercury, and a buick coupe.
<br />
Might check here <a class="post-url" href="http://www.cg-cars.com/forum/forum.php" target="_blank">http://www.cg-cars.com/forum/forum.php</a>

Thanks Stanley.
<br />
<br />
I'm familiar with the link {Lots of cool car models there...}.
<br />
What type of Buick coupe?
<br />
<br />
I spent most of my "free time" yesterday seaching cgcars; but no luck there either. {That forum is a very humbling experience, due to the emmense talents that post there}
<br />
<br />
Someone on another forum mentioned that a person screenamed "dudley" would be the most likely creator of this type of car; but also said that they seemed to have disappeared from the community.

It looks like an late 70's Buicl LaSaber. I hope your program like 3ds more then Carrara, for some odd reason 3ds models always open blownup. here it is <a class="post-url" href="http://www.planit3d.com/source/meshes_files/autos/buick.htm" target="_blank">http://www.planit3d.com/source/meshes_files/autos/buick.htm</a>
<br />
<br />
I had to convert to a .obj to get this and lost the textures.

Oh yes, I have that model.
<br />
It is mis-named; I'm almost sure that is a Ford Gran Torino (mid to late '70s); that is the way I've named it in my archives.
<br />
{My maternal Grandmother has always owned Buicks; and this is definately not one.}
<br />
<br />
Thanks. <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/smile.gif" alt="" />

I've found nothing <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/icon_redface.gif" alt="" /> , but I'm still searching...

I haven't found anything yet either...
<br />
<br />
Someone pointed me to smcars.net; it is a "blueprints site". There are a lot of cars available there; but the majority are designed for use in games. I do not use the games that they are for; so I do not know how useful they are. There is a request posted there for a group of cars, including the ones I am seeking; so I will certainly return.
<br />
<br />
<br />
... the search continues.

Whazizname you are quite right. The Buick I'm thinking of has much rounder back fenders and more slope to the back window.

<br />
That is a 1980s Chrysler product. A Dodge Diplomat, or Chrysler LeBaron, or ... I forget what the Plymouth version was called.
<br />
{Though Grandma always had a Buick; I've always been a Mopar guy myself. "Mopar or No Car!"}

Post subject: Re: Search Assistance Requested
As Chrysler cars go, these were not so big.
<br />
<br />
I thought about it a while, and then did a bit of resarch, and it seems that this model is a late 1970s Diplomat, or Le Baron.
<br />
Here is a link that explains. It does not have a good picture of the exact model; but you'll get the idea.

Sorry for my comfusion, when I open a 3ds in Carrara 5 I get an exploded version. <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/icon_redface.gif" alt="" />
<br />
This is the car I was thinking that was

<br />
<br />
GM man myself, never could keep a chrysler product running; although one of the fastest cars I ever had was a 68 cuda, lost 2 trunk lids, they just fell off if you hit a dip too hard <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/wink.gif" alt="" />
<br />
<br />
"BIG american cars" Yes nothing like driving an easychair. <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/thumb.gif" alt="" /> If I had the money I would have a Peugeot 206 <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/eusa_dance.gif" alt="" /> though.

I had the Peugeout 206 for 2 months, they gave it to me as a spare car because my new one is belated. I've also a Citroen Saxo that is the same body of the peugeot 206 (it's the same project with a different name) and the Saxo is more comfortable, However the "real" Peugeot 206 is the "rally" version <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/eusa_whistle.gif" alt="" /> ... In the meantime they changed the Peugeot 206 first with a Toyota Yaris and today they gave me a PT Cruiser <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/lol.gif" alt="" /> ...
