Just wondering how often everyone uses Poser for fun or work. There are a lot of Poser users around the various forums, it would be interesting to see how often we all spend time in our favourite 3D program.

Everyday - but it seems I spend a lot of that time keeping my stupid files in order for all the freebies and stuff I get from DAZ . . .

I use it depending on the mood and inspiration... When I'm inspired I can stay awake at night like erend a <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> to complete the work...

I use much. I hope to get better though

I'm glad to see someone else is struggling with the Great Poser Obsession, erenda! It's so bad, I've moved a lot of my files over to my laptop so I can have Poser running on two machines simultaneously! Ahhhh . . . !

I agree with WC. But I do most of my own thing by building stuff others don't have to make my art original. Poser is just what it is. A software for posing character models. <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/smile.gif" alt="" />

Sort of to put the Poser thing in perspective - I've visited Terragen galleries in other places and some people really get obsessed about that, too . . .

What is the candy meaning?

At Tapestry of Dreams there was a member challenge in which members who participated were given the assignement to create and avatar and sig line for use by another member. The recipient would then be required to use that avatar for at least one month at that site. Mattham was the who made the penguin one for me. Candies are the name we use for points. You earn points by posting messages in the forums. When you have enough candies, you can spend them in the Games Room to play the games, like in an games arcade. Depending on how well you do with the games, you can win more candies by playing the games. As I write this, you now have enough candies to play two games. <br /> <br /> You can find the link to the games room in the board navigation box on this page. In the games room, you can also create a character to you can also create a character to represent you in the cames. I used to use poser a lot probably around 5 days a wek...now a have started pixelpainting and is almost getting a life so i actually haven't opened poser in a week... Scary i know. <br /> <br /> I disagree that poser is has too costs anything. I have had poser for around 3 years and i have never bought anything. ( i do have the milgirls put they were on sale for 10 $ and that week daz gave out 10$ cupons, so i didn't pay anything). A lot of generous ppl share their creations and there's so much that u can do yourself.

Like TdaC, I rely on the kindness of strangers - and their freebies, though DAZ has managed to lighten my wallet some! Pixelpainting can be fun, too . . . !

Metacreations, Curious Labs, and Fractal Designs have some of my money when I purchased the three versions of Poser that I have. Two of those purchases were from clearance discount bins. Posy forgive me, DAZ has a little of it too now. <br /> <br /> However I have found that between free download, modeling on my own, and the models that are included with Poser and a little work, lots can be done without falling into the money pit trap. <br /> <br /> Pangor
