Thanks for the link pbnj <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

<br />
I don't think I would have made it through Senior year at school without my trusty 'Bable Fish' in my ear, knowing where my towel was and heading home for a couple of 'Pan Galactic Gargle Blasters' on the weekends <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/biggrin.gif" alt="" />
<br />
<br />
It's been a while since I read the original Hitch Hikers series... Maybe it's about time I picked them up again.
<br />
<br />
I've just bought his last, posthumously published book. Haven't read it yet though.

I've read the 1st one, in the process of reading the second one and when time allows I plan on reading all of that series. Right now I'm in my "computer" stage and reading has taken a back burner, but I've got one of Laurell K. Hamilton's newest books from her Fey series sitting her gathering dust and I need to open it up and start reading. Be warned though that when I get on one of my reading jag's I tend to not go near the computer much.
<br />
Thanks for the link, I'm heading there now to check it out <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/smile.gif" alt="" />

the british radio play of HHGG was great too <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/biggrin.gif" alt="" />
<br />
<br />
it hops around thru some of the book mostly in order but skipping some things. its a nice way to take it with you (i listened to all 12 disks at work, heh). and its a nice way to get the basis of the stories.
<br />
<br />
they did great voices and sounds effects, there were times i couldn't help but laugh out loud. the people in cubics next to me thought i was loopy, heh. <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/eusa_silenced.gif" alt="" />
<br />
<br />
i've seen bits and pieces of the BBS shows (the few that they made).

Well, call ne a geek... <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/icon_redface.gif" alt="" />
<br />
<br />
I've got the Radio series (on vinyl LP, it's so old <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> ), the books, the radio scripts with notes by Adams and Lloyd (the producer) in the margins, and a dubbed copy of the whole TV series.
<br />
<br />
Man, I just loved that series when I was at school. It was the first radio play I'd ever listened to.
<br />
<br />
HHGG was right up there with Python for 'quotability'...
<br />
<br />
I hear they are still thinking of making a Movie, but in Hollywood with American actors. Nothing against Hollywood or the US, but HHGG works because it is British. Wrong sort of humour for the LA moguls, they could only stuff it up.
<br />
<br />
Thanks again for posting this, pbnj, you've stirred a whole series of great childhood memories.
