Post subject: Taking The Dork Out Of Dork
Hi. It's been awhile. I was inspired to tackle a morph for Dork too.
<br />
I am using Blacksmith3D. The face I have so far has elements from three different sources: Dorks default face, Dorks face with adjusted proportions to get them closer to the ideal, and a dash of a celebrity to give some personality to the new face.
<br />
<br />
There are still some problem areas to fix, but this is what I have so far:
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j252/BastBlack/Art/NewP4Headfr.jpg" target="_blank" title="Click to open image in new window"><img src="http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j252/BastBlack/Art/NewP4Headfr.jpg" alt="Image" title="Image" /></a>
<br />
<a href="http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j252/BastBlack/Art/NewHeadP4Male-Side.jpg" target="_blank" title="Click to open image in new window"><img src="http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j252/BastBlack/Art/NewHeadP4Male-Side.jpg" alt="Image" title="Image" /></a>
<br />
<a href="http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j252/BastBlack/Art/NewHeadP4Male-34.jpg" target="_blank" title="Click to open image in new window"><img src="http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j252/BastBlack/Art/NewHeadP4Male-34.jpg" alt="Image" title="Image" /></a>
<br />
<br />
I'm totally open for feedback. ^^
<br />

Hi. Thanks. ^^
<br />
I enjoy making characters the most, it's what I spend 80-90% of my time doing.

BTW, Did you get rid of Dork's weird UV stretching at the outer corner of his right brow?
<br />
Almost looks as if from the prewiew <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/eusa_dance.gif" alt="" />

The outer corner of his brow is a problem! I tried very hard to fix it, and keep the brow intact.
<br />
However, when I'm done with the morph, I will make a 2nd version that smoothes out the brows.

I'm curious for the result.
<br />
I've never worked with Blacksmith3D, only know the free characters he offers at his site. They look great.
<br />
I create my morphs with ZBrush and a freeware application, Morph Master by codetwister

for the result is an interesting subject to me too.

Zbrush is expensive, Blacksmith is more affordable, and it does a great job with morphs. However, Zbrush does a lot more than Blacksmith. One day, I'll cross over, but for now, I am happy. ^^
<br />
<br />
I had a free version of code twister's program, but since I'm on a Mac, it was very hard to use in Virtual PC.
<br />
<br />
You can do morphs in other 3d programs, but a program that's designed for it does a much better job. I love having selection groups, and selections by group, object, or material. I really miss that abilty in other 3d programs.

One what? You really do? What do you miss most about that abilty in other 3d programs ?

Hexagon for instance, does not have selection by materials. You can do groups, but not materials.
<br />
<br />
--edit: just learned you can select by materials in Hexagon--
