These problems are never good to hear about, unless it happens to guys who write virus
software and other crap.
I had some problems back in January. Fortunately I didn't lose to much.
Four to five years of work down the drain is like it never was there in the
first place.

That's a real bastard, DV. Truly it is.

I've had my office broken into in the past and my computer stolen... and all the software and with it my backup CDs.

Let me tell you, that hurt. I know the pain. You do get over it, though, and get creative again.

Ah, man that's bad news. Trouble with data recovery is that it can be a bit hit and miss. What programs have you tried to recover the data?
