I think that I had covered the issue of not everybody seeing the base buttons in every forum by:

Did I mess up the wording?

I didn't write about the other fun parts of being a moderator like keeping a forum alive and a happy place, because I thought was too obvious.  The less happy parts almost never happen, I am happy to say.  When they do happen, we need to be ready for them.
