Yah. V4.2
The train keeps rolling on. So many models but sometime I really wonder if it is all worth the effort. I most of all would like to see a good animation render with very little time and look really good rather than waiting for a week for a big PC to free up to do something else. I have rendered a Video that has 4840 frames and is 2 minutes and 40 seconds long. It took 1 week and I had to put it into 4 parts to piece them together because the memory couldn't handle it. :afterburner: :stomp:
As for Vic 4.2. Thanks for the heads up but I think I have enough people to build without having to pocket money for clothes. It just seems like another marketing idea. :ninja: But as long as DAZ and Poser are around it will always be that way. :D But I'm still leaning on the software that drives this mad machine for a render engine that can take full usage of the PC and memory to make renders happen in a second. A lot of softwares out there can do that. With all the money that is pumped into this software you would think they would get it right on the animation render end and then they would get it all right with the rest of the stuff in Poser. :shocked!: WOW! I need to lay off the caffeine. :yeah: :lmao: :D

Whoohoo...!!!
(Not about V4.2... which by the way, should've been done right the FIRST TIME!!! Talk about incompetent..!)
Set up an account at ArtZone. Expect to be kicked off within the week. :D (Not my fault if I speak my mind... is it? )
(And if you ever bother to look at my profile there, please IGNORE my tirade against emoticons... it's aimed very specifically at my nephews, whose Internet ettitquette manners are an atrocity against nature... :bad-words: )

LOL :D
Subject: Hmm......
Hm, given Clothing room, dynamic clothes and such, have they shot their foot with 4.2 ?
Can other garments adapt, or have they fiddled the JPs --I'm beginning to sound like I understand them-- so, yet again, nothing extant quite fits ??
---
By curious coincidence, I found a wonderful tut by Thip on conforming clothes using only P4, and how to cull the 'stripped' CR2 of unnecessary actors, welds etc. As he said, using PPP, bones etc only saves one or two steps...
Now I gotta understand it...

So far, I've only found two thing noteworthy about this promotion.
1.) If you don't already have the model, you can get the newest "base" for free Monday.
2.) A lot of people have shown up on ArtZone; so it is easy to add familiar faces & screen names to my ArtZone friends.

Let the record show: in typical DAZ fashion, the Big Monday event was more "hype" than "happening".

:koo: ... what happened?

The idiots have screwed up their new installer, and there are multiple issues when going from Vic4.x to Vic4.2...
I've been reading the fora over there and giggling my [BOTTOM] off at the incompetence shown by DAZ - especially the complete lack of communication between them, their various departments (sales, RnD, and coding...) and their victims...er... users.
End result is that Vic4.2 is delayed... sheesh.
