 Family Photo
Just a little note to tell everyone about a new " Poser Challenge" at 3DCommune.
The challenge is simple; create an image of your favorite ' Poser Family' spending time together. Posette, Dork, Don, Judy, Jesse, James, Simon, Sydney, Mr. & Mrs, LoRes, even cousin Miki are allowed. (Don't forget the children...)
Challenge will run for the entire month of August 2008. Post your images to the 3DCommune " Poser Challenge Gallery". (Up to three images per Artist.)

 Re: Family Photo
(If all goes according to plan...) my next image for the August Challenge will be of the P5 family playing together with "Hot Wheels". I envision them together in the den/ family room taking turns releasing cars down the hill that is at the beginning of the track setup. {I asked at PlanIt3D if anyone knew where to find some track, and Kalador has offered to create some. YEAH!!!}
I must admit that I'm a little bit surprised to see that no one from PosetteForever has posted a P4 'family photo'  ; I mean all great presevation societies have photos galore; right? {Hint, hint, nudge, nudge, wink ,wink...}
I'll post to this thread again after I've posted my next image to this challenge.

 Re: Family Photo
Hi Whazizname
I think "Family Pix" is a nice idea. I myself cannot take part thou. I'm still on Linux and didn't get my Poser (no Poser since 3 month...) to work.
Looks as if I have to set up a dual boot. I have to buy another HD and install XP an Poser there, but I don't have the time for this...

 Re: Family Photo
Thanks for the replies Ahjah, and Tormie; at least now I know that someone has seen this post about the challenge.
It seems that this is not a Poser period for a lot of people on the planet; I am the only one that posted an image to it so far.
In fact, participation in the Poser Challenges at 3DC has slowly dwindled down to near zero over the past year. I think the reason that I initiated this challenge, was to motivate myself to use Don, Judy, and the children again; because I've been having to spend alot of time working with V4 in my testing positions. (In fact, I'm off to test some things for her, as so as I leave from here today...)
{Hmmm... just a thought between friends...; since the participation level is so low, I doubt that anyone at 3DC will mind if images for a challenge were posted long after the challenge end date has past.}

 Re: Family Photo
Hi Whazizname, August has been a period like this every time. I don't understand WHY is the same for people on austral side where is winter...
About me, for a reason or another I'm kept busy also in the free day , but I'll quit thi week the night shift (I pass the rest of the day sleeping or in semi-catatonic state, lol
BTW it has some advantages, because you've more probabilities to win the challenge

 Re: Family Photo
... The people down-under are at skiing vacation, maybe
@Davide, I know, I won't need a second HD for setting up a dual boot. I used a dual NT4/98 for years, even installed on the same PARTITION
But I don't have enough space left on my main HD, and the other reason is, I like to keep win and linux completely separated

 Re: Family Photo
Poser FAMILY PHOTO CHALENGE EXTENDED
------------------
That's right; the challenge has been extended through the month of September 2008.
So now there is time to add those special little touches to your scene, or give Judy that makeover, that so many users think she so desparately needs.
@ Tormie:
I think the word "challenge" is not the correct one for these events...; it is not a competition, or contest, there aren't any prizes, and no one is declared a 'winner'. {I prefer to think of them as invitations, or inspirations.} I (like many of you here) don't like the idea of competitive artwork; so I rarely enter "contests" (...in fact, the only ones I can think of, I've entered accidentally while posting a "thank you" type render...).
