May I ask, which department from the ST-TOS era wears white uniforums? Is that based on one of the TOS based novels?

Since I'm a ST-All the series, movies fan did you find Uhura somewhere, or is she your own creation. I've found a lot of ST resources, but not too many original characters. Just curious. <img src="https://www.posetteforever.com/images/smiles/thumb.gif" alt="" />
