Post Adobe CS2

Adobe's CS2 licence server went kaput, the licenced guys were not happy as they could not get back ups. Adobe, made CS2 available, but as the Licence server went kaput, they could not tell if the downloader was legitimate or not. In any case they have made the whole suite available to all.

No registration required.

All serials provided.

UPDATE from Kevin Monahan, Sr. Content and Community Lead for Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro:

“Effective December 13, Adobe disabled the activation server for CS2 products and Acrobat 7 because of a technical glitch. These products were released over 7 years ago and do not run on many modern operating systems. But to ensure that any customers activating those old versions can continue to use their software, we issued a serial number directly to those customers. While this might be interpreted as Adobe giving away software for free, we did it to help our customers.”

Seeing something on site here at PF, I revisited the link. It is now not the free to download software it appeared as initially link removed.

I installed PS and Premiere today and they ate all the pinned shortcuts from my start menu (win7/64)
Could be worse, but just to warn you... (it was made in win2000/XP times)

Thanks Ahjah.

I should have said (sorry).

There are forum threads out there in the WWW, with guidance for installing CS2 on the newer Windows O/S versions.

I like the old XP, so I'm lucky this time around. But come the day when XP, is a no go for newer programs, then I'll be... stuck!

XP is probably the most vulnerable OS ever. I wouldn't dare going on line with that...

Fear not for me Ahjah, but thanks.

The leaks are with IE, (bad MS components) not the O/S. There was also an issue through a back door with Adobe once (IIRC), but not the actual O/S.

I've had no problems, and neither should anyone who sets up their computer properly.

XP is NT 5.1, and very stable. Run in classic mode, and you're home.

XP SP3, has MS support up to 2014 (it may get extended), so there are no issues with current security vs the latest MS O/S Windows 8 (NT 6.2).

I expect this is more a view that I've seen from linux users, who like to slate the MS popularity for having so much attention from the virus creators.
