Post Rayera And Ahjah

I've having fun doing morph targets in Blender but I was wondering.    Is there a way to isolate vertices so they are not affected when you are sculpting. For instance, I want to create a fat belly morph so I use the inflate tool but it also inflates the vertices of the belly button as well. Is there a way to where I can isolate the vertices of the belly button so they remain unaffected by the inflate tool so the belly button still retains a normal look rather than a squished in or puckered look? Thanks in advance.

Hi Marv
I found this post only now...
I'd have the same question, but no answer for it...
I remember in ZBrush there was a way to "paint" areas to protect them, but I found nothing similar in Blender. The selections from edit mode are gone as soon as you switch to sculpting, selection by material don't work either...
