Hi, I'm Posy, welcome to Posetteforever
This site is about computer art, and how to make it with few or no money at all , so it is dedicated to Posette , that is simple and beautiful .
We are a group of friends that use to meet here for their fun , talking of art , sticking their pictures and sharing freebies each other . We encourage you to join this community as an active member...

In order to access all the site , you've to register so that we can control our bandwidth usage.
A working email address is needed for the registration, we're not commercially involved in anything so it's safe and it won't be used if not for sending you notifications of replies to your posts, comments to your pictures and notifications of new private messages in your inbox.
Posetteforever has no stores and no banners , everything that you find here is free and nothing can be posted on this site for pushing the users to buy something for their art . We can give you only some hints for the basic tools . There are no ratings , we value your art and we will try to give you some suggestions to improve it , even if the "pros" here are very few ...
This is not a store so we don't search for costumers , we search for friends . We're not interested in big numbers , for us it's enough to spend some time together ...
Our staff is not made of mercenaries so in order to easy their work a lot of email services has been banned, because they are the most used by comment spammers and harvesters , we're also part of the Project Honey Pot for helping tracking their activity .

You can contact an admin at if you have problems .. and we'll (maybe I'm sorry!) find a solution .

If you're a registered user and you're having problems logging in Mmmh... (thinking) please use the same address .
Sometimes all is due to a cookies problem, you can delete them in this page .
If you've a slow connection we suggest you to choose the Lo-Fi Version (link is always available at the bottom of the page).

Thank you

I want to say thank you Deviant_Viking for the interveiw.
This is a way for you the people of Posetteforever to get to know some really great and wonderful people out here. Not to mention great artist as well.
Deviant_Viking

1.Tell us a little about yourself...personal background, family, etc. What ever you are comfortable with.
-My personal background isn't exactly something I like talking about, since it's not a too happy one. It coulda been worse, but it could also have been better.
All I really have to say is that I grew up in a small place in Norway, with probably the best mother one could ask for.
Playing with action figures and playing video games were usualy the main attractions most of my life, there wasn't really anything else that interested me.
When I got older, and everybody started partying, I spent most of my time with my art, which I still do.

2.How long have you been working with digital art, 3D and/or Poser?
-I stumbled over Poser 4 around 4-5 years ago, when it was newly out and instantly fell in love with it.
I've been working with and learned photoshop alongside of it ever since.

3.What got you interested in digital art?
-I've always been creative, but never did anything with it in my younger age.
I found 3D really appealing (most likely due to games starting to use 3D in them, as I was an avid gamer), and started looking into various 3D programs.
The breakthrough came when I found Poser, due to it's easy use.

4.What excites you about 3D and/or Poser?
-The ability to create something out of virtually nothing. The ability to create something that invokes feelings in others, making them think.
To be able to visualise my own ideas, thoughts and feelings into something that can be seen, for better or worse.

5.Do you have formal training or are you self taught?
-When it comes to Poser, the majority is self thaught. I started out with the manual to learn the basics, and have learned the rest by experimenting.
Same with photoshop. Apart from some tutorials here and there, most I've learned by experimenting.
As of late, I've been attending a one-year 3D class for Maya that's nearing end, which is basically the only formal training I've had when it comes to my art.

6.Where do you find your inpiration/ideas?
-Everywhere. Nowhere. They usualy just pop into my mind, quite often when listening to music.
Occasionally I might stumble upon another picture, text or similar I want to visualise, but for the majority of the time it's original thoughts.

7.What is your preffered environment for creating your art? Surrounding noises, time of day, etc.
-I'm a big fan of white lights and minimalistic backgrounds. I take a bit of pride in being able to use a plain white background to empathise the feeling in a picture.
When straying away from that style, I tend to like darkness, shadows and contrasts, pretty much the opposite.

8.Do you listen to music while you create? If so what kind or who?
-When I'm not keeping half an eye on the TV, I pretty much always play music.
It can be anything from melodic trance, hardcore rock, alternative unknown stuff to classical.
Music can help in enhancing the mood of a piece. If I'm working on a sad picture, I play sad music. An angry picture, angry music etc.

9.What do you consider your artistic strength?
-I guess the ability to make pieces that goes from making people say 'wow, cool' to ones that stirs feelings deep within them.

10.What do you consider your personal strength?
-That I still can be bothered to carry on with my life.

11.Do you consider yourself an artist or a hobbist when it comes to digital art?
-I consider myself an artist now. It's what I love to do, and prefer to spend my time with.

12.Do you have other hobbies or special interests?
-Outside my art and school/work it's usualy videogames that matters.
I was an avid gamer before, and I still thoroughly enjoy games.

13.What is your proudest artistic achievement?
-Hard to tell, but I guess it's my second Metallic Angel. She was a labor of love, and I was really impressed and proud of myself when I made that picture.

14.What is your proudest personal achievement?
-I guess it was when I one christmas gave some of my family members a framed Poser pic I'd made. It showed them that all the time I spent alone with my computer I didn't just waste away, I was actually doing something important to me.

15.Who is your favorite artist?
-Nobody. I don't have any persons I look up to. That's probably why I manage to keep the majority of my art original.

16.What is your favorite artistic style?
I don't really have a preference, I just do whatever I feel like doing.

Thank you very much and congratulations again to Deviant_Viking for a wonderful interview as Artist Of The Month.
