I just thought to create accounts with some IM services, so that I can at least reserve the name pangor on those services.  That way there would be less chance of me being accused of the misdeeds of others who may usr pangor at their screen names.  I discovered that the name is already in use at each of the services that I tried.

I have did setup an AIM account under the screen name of ppangor, and then I discovered that ppangor is also already in use at another IM service.  So at this time, the only screen name / IM service combination that I am using is  ppangor at AIM.

It's always a bit of a worry that someone might confuse you with another who has the same nic. Just part of the problem with so many millions of users. You just have to hope that your friends will recognise the difference if it happens.
