I think it's funny, not dirty and i think it should stay in the gallery. I also think that it's important to remember that we didn't have any problems with the images in the gallery before the "borg" and we haven't had any problems from the rest of the members.  I think that this was a rare incident and i think it's important to not be too concerned/ take what they did and make a lot of changes for a group/person that is not here any more.

The image rules worked fine before they came and i think that they will continue to work fine as they are,  now that he/they are gone.

But to some it is what Pangor has said. This was one of Davide's funny pics that I knew would be brought up sometime or another. Yes sence all of the hoopla we had fun back in the good ol days. But it is a family site and we have to either except this and change the rules again or dump it with the rest. Some how I knew we would still hyave a brick wall to run into.

I think this thing is getting a bit exagerated, the image didn't breake any of the old rules when it was posted and it doesn't breake any of the new rules:

This is an image of a man with a nude torso standing in front of a wall. We see a shadow next to him that we think is funny because we know what the man in the pic want us to think.  I honestly  don't understand what it is that some can find sexual or against the rules in this pic.

I agree with Thilda and further more, there is the fact that shadows don't always show actual combination of objects that create them in a way that they really are.  For example the other day when I was downtown I saw a strange shadow of someone closing in on me.  The shadows were begin cast ahead and to the right of me.  The image of the shadow looked like a man with devil horns and a feature that was very similiar to this picture.  Because of the approach of Halloween, I thought it was someone in an unusual devil costume.  I was wrong, when I saw the actual man as he passed me by I saw that he was carrying a long florecent lighting tube down by his hip and the horns was caused by someone else who was carrying some strange looking hat rack.  The shadows had merged to give the image like the shadow in this picture but clothes and with devil horns too.

This picture is almost like an inkblot test, that shows little but what we see is what we bring to it.

Ok what I want to know was who brought this up in the first place? I mean geeez can we not just have a few rules like maybe four instead of the Ten commandments. When I first came here it was really no holes bared. We did something and people laughed and that was us. These people or one or who ever the heck they where turned our way of life here up side down. We have to get back to our roots here people. It took two years to get this as it is now. I don't see Landman, GP, Messenger or DV much anymore. I know things change, but has it been to the negative of this site? We  always being crazy and never really serious until need be. This is so sad. I never wanted this place to even feel like another site. We where and are diffirent. Now look at the date on that picture and it has been brought up for rejection. Just put a warning on this site that due to the funny and screwball taste of some artist some nudity and act of craziness will be on this site. Be forwarned of this and agree or disagree to log on to this site. Then we won't need rules. All we need is ourselves.

I decide to not reply to this thread because the picture is mine and I'll let you choose the right thing about it, so I want only to reply to Kenny.

Sooner or later what happened with "the borg group" happens on all sites, it's a fact and a reason why we had to discuss about rules in the album. The alternative would be simple: I'm the owner, I decide what to do no matter what, and it's what I've done in the past, but as I said in other topics it's not in my nature to play the role of the censor. About fun and crazyness it's all in the mood of the moment, actually I'm having some fun, I prepared the place fo the halloween party with some funny code etc. and since that picture I can remember other ones that were funny.
I've nothing against nudity Kenny but seeing a real woman showing her vagina or a penis of a real man is not what I want for the site and it was shown by that individual in his pictures. Nearly all the pictures of DV for example are nude women in a strange behaviour but only one of them was reported to me, I said it to him and he removed the picture without moanings.
About the "popularity" of the site. The people you wrote about are not gone away from this site, they are away from Poser at all or very busy with their jobs. Messenger has become a beta tester for some Daz characters' stuff but she comes here sometimes, DV is disappeared everywhere, Guiltypleasures had some serious problems of health but I talk with her every day on MSN. Landman I don't know, I know that he goes far from home for work sometimes, I'll try to contact him. Other members that I contacted replied in the same way: some serious problems on the road, like Hawktoey who is not present also in his own site.
At least I think that this is the "target" of a large part of the people who like to come here, they are people who have problems in their real life, for stress, family, money or other things of our modern life, and come here for some relief.
My fault is that I'm not making new pictures in this period, It because I'm having some changes in my life too and I'm busy but it will normalize in a short period. Now that I was home for some days I focused on fixing the code of the forum, I made a lot of "hidden" work and talked about it with pangor, not because you're not intended to know about it but because the topic is technical and of no interest for posetteforever, maybe on other forum about coding where I'm a teaser.
About me I changed my trade union and I'm in a political group here so sometimes I've to go to the meetings and partecipate in something, plus this year I subscribed to an university, an easy one. So what I planned is to fix the hard work of the code of the site in this period and don't think anymore about it if not for minor fixes and upgrade in order to focus only on art in the future. Nothing will change for my presence on the site, I can assure you: for a reason or another I had something happening in my real life in the past like now and never left the site if not for short periods. For example actually I've a problem with my car because a fool crossed the stop line while I was arriving   ...
About the popularity of the site and new users: A lot of them came here on invitation from some of you, another part searching for Posette on search engines (we're #1 on google for Posette search), others because some of you put the link of the site under they freebies presentations on other sites, some others because I put the banner of site under my pictures. As I talked with pangor, sites popularity for places like PF can increase with cross links exchanges and other things, I read about them in this period and start to apply some of the hints I found, so I'm trying to place the link of the site where I can, I've also bought a banner program on google , a pay per click thing that will be showed on other site with our link (a little one because I've no money   ). What I obtained with this is that our overall position on netcraft.com passed in a few days from position about 6,000,000   to 541178 today   and increasing. Our pagerank on google is 2/10 and I'll work on it too. We'll see if my efforts worth something in the next periods. We've a rate of 1.20 new users per day from the beginning and it's not bad, sooner or later some new "talking" user will appear.
Talking about amateurs sites we're not doing bad, for a site with no big cars, porns, sex talking, big stores for Daz products we are doing well, if you go to other similar sites the situation is not that better, some of them are deserted.
All of this boring data is only to let you all know that I'm still working for the site and never abandoned the project. What we need is a base of regular users of about 30-40 persons, I don't know if we can administer more regulars without paying admins and moderators so this is the final target and I don't want to transform PF in something different, it's not a commercial project.
I removed the warning on the main page Kenny, about the pictures and the rules, at least we'll decide like we're doing for my picture here, I think it's ok

Davide my friend I agree with what you said. But. It is in Ahjah's words and in TdaC's as well. We have went this far with that picture and now something has come up. A bump in the road if you will. Where the rules now attack things that have been here for almost 2 years. Simply put, Less Is More. I may not be a programer for the web but I am a programer for a CNC operations at a plant that makes car parts. That is why my popping up is short. Working behind a PC as well as out on the floor of a factory is big hassle. Putting this back on track all I am saying is I understand why the people are gone and yes I understand about the web site of PF is yours but it is sometimes best to let a machine see if it will correct itself before fixing it. I'm just pointing out my life with what has happened here and using it as a guide line.

THis will be my final post on the subject, i think it's time to move on.

2. As the site grows it attracts more people, mostly good ppl and some idiots - it happens to all sites.

3. A lot of good stuff goes on here at pf that might not be visabà¶e to everyone. I often talk with davide on msn, when i needed help with my morphs ahjah and pangor were there and helped out via pms and emails, when i lost my grandfather jr and i talked alot - also via pm:s, when i need company at the beach i send pics and talk with Kenny.
If i am absent from the site it is usually because something that has happened in my life that makes it hard to have time tobe here. THe reason i come back is because of the people, and the atmosphere of the site. Simply put, i like it here.

Thilda is right, in a way or another I'm in contact with all of you friends   My msn address is (what else?) and if someone want to talk with me just knock   !
