Welcome to the brand new Challenges!!!

  So, what's this all about?

The idea came up after posting so much in the Texture Knitting forum sticky [Tutorial] Before - After Postwork, so it would be nice to see what others could learn from these tips.

The real challenge is to grow as an artist and do try things you never did before. To learn new techniques is just a nice sideeffect. Each of us has his/her own style and it's recognizable, but one can only learn/improve if we leave this path and try something new.

This is for all users, whether you're a Poser user or a D|S user. Same with Photo Shop and Paint Shop or even TheGimp.

I CHALLENGE YOU! YOU, YOU AND YOU!!!!

   How does this work?

Usually there's only one challenge running. However, it may happen on rare occasions (like when a special holiday is coming) that there are 2 or 3 challenges actively running. The challenges may have the same time or overlap. Each challenge will also posted in the calendar for easier overview.

There will be different challenges: some may be about postwork, others are about a theme or a pose or a specific figure.

I'll post a downloadable base for Postwork challenges, or give you a pose or just a sketch as reference for each challenge in a new topic. This topic will contain the neccessary info, the theme, the rules etc.

In this topic you can reply with tips and tricks, tell us useful links or show off your WIP. The final piece, the one and only final piece, should go into the also brand new The Challenges Album!

The Base File
a) The base will be a direct-out-of-Poser image (including all flaws it may has) in PNG format with alphachannel. The Base can be anything: a portrait shot, a nude or clothed figure, a bald figure or one with hair, an animal etc.It'll be zipped with WinZip and can be downloaded from my webspace.

b) The Base can be a pose or a texture for any figure. It'll be zipped with WinZip and can be downloaded from my webspace.

c) The Base can be just a sketch or reference image which will be posted in the actual Challenge topic.

The Base will only be available during the current challenge, after that time it'll be deleted and replaced with the new one.


The Challenge Rules

1. Each challenge will run for 2 weeks.
2. Short challenges will run maximal 7 days.
2. Only 1 entry per person
3. Final piece have to be uploaded in that time frame (in order to keep the gallery sorted).


  The Rules

1. Have to follow the General Rules of PF for images.
2. Have to follow the additional Rules (in case there are any)
3. Have to use the base/sketch provided for each challenge
4. Final pieces should be uploaded into the The Challenges Album
5. Have Fun!!
