Challenge 005 - Winter Arrival

The Theme for our fifth challenge is Winter Arrival!!


This is a short challenge which will only run for 6 days!!!
There may be several more coming over the next weeks to get you in Xmas mood.  
And some of them will overlap with each other, so please wait with posting of your final pics until the former challenge is closed.



The Details

- Challenge will run from December 1 to December 6, 2009
- Posting allowed from December 3, 2009 to December 6, 2009
- General Rules apply
- Base file - Winter Backgrounds Set @ DeviantArt  - choose one of them
- Figure to use: PolarBear (either DAZ3d or CP version) + human figure of your choice
Those without a polarbear should use a white wolf using the P4 Wolf (legacy content)


Create a beautiful, nice frosty winter scene depicting the Arrival of Winter in a human form with a polar bear (or white wolf in case you haven't a polarbear) as companion.  Choose one from the backgrounds set above as scenery. But no portrait / head shot only!!

ah... counts me out then. I don't have a polar bear...  

i'm play with a autumn scene right now.......(I got inspired by the last challenge)
I like the backgrounds in this one ......i'll get something done before x-mas. I hope!!!!!

and sadly, I don't have a polar bear either ....

Doesn't the polar bear belong to the P4 legacy content? Ok Now I'm confused......

Also wasn't there a free polarbear at CP long time ago? Did noone grab their freebies?

I'll check and may edit the companion to some other animal........

Ok, CP had once a free Polar bear Cub, so those who have this one should use it or the DAZ Polar Bear.

All others should use a white wolf as companion and the wolf is standard P4 legacy content, so you can grab it at CP for free if you don't have it already.

Have you check out CP lately....
they changed it around and I can't find anything...I typed in the search Poser 4 -7 content nothing.
The only thing I found was Poser 8 content
I'll look again today maybe I'll find something .....

No, wasn't there for a few weeks. The new store being  a total mess is only one of my reasons.
I'm no friend of CP since they closed my account without noticing me before cause someone hacked into it. In their opinion that's my fault. After they opened the new store I asked to get access to my order history again since their are no downloads anymore - and no. This time they accused my of violating the TOS. Yeah, sure!!! I'm the victim, but they don't treat me like one and accusing me. Why should I hack my own account? I know my password?!!!

Since then I no longer buy anything overthere, I may grab the occassionally freebie but that's it!!

that darn polar bear was a days work!!!       

First I postwork his fur, but it looked not fluffy enough, so I decided to paint over it on a new layer with a hairbrush at 40% opacity. I spend several hours to overpaint him, the bear, again and again!!!

Thankfully only half of the bear can be seen in the final image and so I only postworked that part.
