I thought a lot about how to improve the site software
(Yes Kenny, it was hard to think so much
...) And I'll show you what's the situation.
You should know we run a software called
phpBB in a version which were modified with a lot of add ons and it's called integramod from the authors of this modifications. I took the version 1.32 and in that period I began to add things to the software that were needed to the site, so I modified the code of the files myself, so the big trouble when a new version of the software appears is that I can't simply overwrite the old files with the new ones but I've to manually edit tons of files. I've don it, no problem, but at least what I had is a hybrid, the code works well "my way" but its not standard, so the necessity to upgrade is due to the fact that some "holes" in the code could exist and some nasty hacker can take advantage of the situation. I'm not been caught in the "upgrade" fashion, but it's a necessity.
There is also another problem with the site, you should know it and it's in the album, the software that I installed was not exactly made for
phpBB and some problems are still there, like the cookies thing and sometimes the pictures stay fixed in the cache directory and I've to delete them manually.
About the upgrade: I have installed the very new model of the software in a temporary directory, I've told you but I think that the upgrade to this software won't be in the next future, simply because the add ons for this software will not appear soon, so I can estimate that I'll upgrade to phpbb3 the next year of far in the future.
Instead of this one I'm installing and starting to work to the last version of integramod, the 1.41. I've found the "new comments notification" fo the original album and I want to try it, if it works properly we'll have all working fine

However the new version will be working in some months, maybe for the next year because the works to do are really many and I want the new software look like the old one to the users with some upgrade so that it won't confse anyone.
