Hi friends

Just now I've been searching my backups to answer a request from maelstromme concerning a flatter chest for Posette (I found it BTW). While digging thru the dust, I stumbled over a lot of old stuff. Posette related and general. Most of it isn't available in the www since years anymore. A lot of it can't be put into our public archive for various reasons, i.e. no permission by the owner, no way to contact him or her, no info in the zip, adult stuff etc. All the stuff may be gone soon, spread over various old CDs and HDs that will die sooner or later. I can't spend the time and money to copy them to fresh storage on regular base.
The situation on your side may be similar. It'd be a pity if all that stuff would fade away forever. So here my thought... could it be possible to collect all this stuff on a web drive centrally for all of us (staff) to reach and for historical reasons, of course? There'll be a lot of double or triple file, I'm sure, but we can handle this. We simply can overwrite, maybe even categorize the files ( by time...)
Tell me what you think.
In case I'd need some advice. I'm not experienced in this, what host to chose or maybe even good old ftp style...

Yes I think this is a great idea. After all we are about the last main site with Posette and there might be some gems that you have that no one has even seen so yes I am all for it Andreas.......Now where is Davide when you need him.

BTW Kenny, I'm sorry, but I have to remind you (It's my job ) the 1 pic/24hrs rule applies for us staff, too

Ok. my thought: if you don't see anything written on the file , I think it's safe to publish them in our free stuff page, but in an album rederved to registered users (I can take care of the privileges). For the rest, there is google drive, but I don't know how to share the links with other people, there shuld be the way btw. I've been using megaupload, but they closed it ...

Any idea is welcome

Maybe build a PC out of spare parts Davide and build a server for them and link it to the site. Can you do that?

I've not forgotten this idea, I'm just slow, lazy and am getting distracted easily  
I've been thinking about something like cloud stuff, a central place for us (the staff) to put together our collections just to see what we have, and in case of data loss/PC crash. If we stumble across something for our public freebies we can decide to load it up from there. We would all(the staff) have access to our collected works and could share the work to sort them out, I couldn't do this alone. About the technical side, I wouldn't trust any of the commercial products with this job, and it shouldn't produce additional costs. Some time ago Davide mentioned there's plenty of space on PF server, don't know how much. Now I think I might have found the tool to use this space for this project. I'm not completely through with reading, yet, but it looks pretty interesting, and it's open source
