And after a great deal of frustration on the part of my beta testerLoagnsfury (i went last minute and scrapped all the mat poses and rebuilt them yesturday morning...)  The platemail has been released.

It is available at 3dcommune, it's pending "approval" from Renderosity, and once i finnish this post it will be moving it's way here as well.

we ended up scrapping the heraldic textures (at least for now) as i can't make them work with the mat poses and that's a LOT of texture loading.  However all is not lost. We did end up with boots and boots 2 mats, chainmail mat for the coif and hauberk, and gold, silver, and black mats in mirror and brushed metal finnishes for the armour.

I'm rather proud of this set.

Do you experience any effects of global warming there?
